- To collectively work with individuals, vulnerable groups and institutions on promoting emotional health, tolerance, gender equality and reducing violence against women and children.
Rozan is one of the few NGOs in Pakistan that has developed expertise in raising awareness about the importance of emotional and mental health and has been providing services since the beginning to those in need.
Rozan Counseling Help Line (RCHL) provides a non-judgmental and confidential space to young people, women and children where they can call and share their concerns related to emotional, sexual and reproductive health, Violence Against Women (VAW) and girls and Child Sexual Abuse (CSA). Along with telephonic counselling, RCHL also provides in-person and email counselling services. Rozan also organizes counselling camps in the communities.
Rozan Counseling Help Line (RCHL) was initiated in 2001 in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University, Center for Communications Programs (JHU/CCP) initially mainly to provide young people with information and support regarding their emotional, sexual and reproductive health. Rozan Counseling Help Line is considered a pioneering initiative to provide counselling services to youth in Pakistan. Since 2010, RCHL has broadened the scope of its services and caters for clientele from any age, gender, class or ethnic background. Until 2020, RCHL has received around 61,000 counselling calls from all over Pakistan.
